There is always the potential to look for cost saving options or alternatives solutions but you can be assured that, as the customer, whatever you choose, you will always receive and be charged for what you ordered.

Corrugated Cartons are no different, following the unprecedented shortage of supply situation which in turn led to number of increases in board costs since 2021.

Because of this, the decision made by a number of suppliers was to reduce the board grade. This not only helped speed up deliveries but it also offset some of the increases being imposed. If you have noticed your boxes are crushing when they didn’t before, this could be the cause. The quality of the paper used in the manufacture of cartons, especially the fluting, remains of paramount importance.

It is your product inside the box, whether it is customer facing it deserves to be protected in the best possible way within your available budget.

The phrases “fit for purpose” or “it does the job” are common place in the Packaging world. In literal terms, this means that on a basic level the product will suffice but what it does not give you is any confidence you are buying what you are paying for.
